Abstract
The design and implementation of a didactic module for an automotive lighting system aims to facilitate the understanding of the principles of operation and control of vehicle lights. With this module, we seek to provide both theoretical and practical knowledge, promoting active learning through interactive activities for the Automotive Mechanics students at the Instituto Superior Tecnológico Consulting Group Ecuador - Cayambe Extension. The teaching methodology is practical, encouraging experimentation and analysis of the circuits developed within the module. We plan stages that cover everything from identifying components to constructing and testing circuits, ensuring that students achieve a deeper understanding through this module. The proposed system includes basic components such as bulbs, headlights, switches, relays, wires, flashers, a dashboard, a 12V battery, a structure designed using Computer-Aided Design software like SketchUp, and electrical circuits designed with a circuit design program called Proteus Professional 8.13. Additionally, safety elements such as fuses are incorporated to emphasize the importance of the electrical lighting system in vehicles as an active safety feature. Students will not only understand the operation of automotive lighting systems but will also gain practical knowledge and solutions through the didactic module that will be valuable in their professional field.
